Remember that kind of neat one-bedroom condo at 449 North 13th Street that was being listed for $500K? It's still on the market. And incidentally, you can also test-drive the place on AirBnb. All the options. But whether you'd want to buy/rent a glass-encased loft on North 13th is almost besides the point. Because the price alone is indication enough that Eraserhood is trying to happen. Whether we like it or not.
But any of the regulars and owners of the neighborhood haunts detailed in the map below will tell you: this neighborhood is a lot more than the promise of new condo buildings and an elevated rail park. It's hole-in-the wall taco joints, cutting-edge music venues, and 100 year-old watering holes, that really don't give a crap what you call the 'hood, just as long as you tip well and leave the place as you found it.
