Catholic School Rush

Finally, people are starting to ask the obvious question raised by the 49 Catholic school closings in Philadelphia this year: What's going to happen to all those buildings? While everyone is preoccupied by the fate of the children, developers are moving in to take advantage. The Inky's Diane Mastrull talked to "prolific urban redeveloper" (you could say that) Carl Dranoff and her new landlord, Bart Blatstein. The latter wouldn't name which schools he's interested in because if he did, he said, "the price will go up." Let the guessing games begin. [Philly.com]
