PennDOT Has Archaeologists?

If we had to make a list of job titles for PennDOT employees, the last title we'd think of would be "archaeologist." But it's a good thing they're around: They've just discovered the foundations of the 300-acre Dyottville Glass Works, a historically significant 19th-century site. The bad news? After the site is mapped and documented, it's going to be destroyed so PennDOT can rebuild I-95. Ah, progress. [Plan Philly]
