Are You a Renter for Life?

A new report from San Francisco-based apartment search engine ApartmentList.com found that rents in the U.S. have risen nearly 10 percent since January, 2011. Pennsylvania's rents, on the other hand, have dropped 2.2 percent over the same period. Nationwide, 47 percent of the renters surveyed said renting is smarter than buying under current economic conditions, and 24 percent said they never planned to buy a home." —Virginia C. McGuire
