The Philadelphia Film Society will take over Center City's once-indie Roxy movie theater, which has been showing uninspiring, mainstream-ish fare without much success. And it sounds like the Society will return the Roxy to a former version of itself: the theater's 35mm projector will be used for repertory screening, with films like The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Philly used to have midnight screenings of Rocky Horror at TLA in the 1980s. Maybe the golden era of a half-naked Susan Sarandon is coming back. [Philly Post]
