We're down to the final four in the Curbed Cup, our annual award to the Philadelphia neighborhood of the year. This post has been published on Thursday, Dec. 27th, at 11:00 a.m. Voting for this match-up will be closed as of Friday, Dec. 28th, at 11:00 a.m. At that point, the pie chart will show the results rather than the option to vote. Let the eliminations continue!
We called Bella Vista the Little 'Hood That Could because it beat the mighty Society Hill in the last round of the Curbed Cup. Now it's matched up against nearby Passyunk Square, which also conquered a formidable foe in Graduate Hospital.
These two neighborhoods are kissing cousins of East Passyunk Crossing, the winner of our last round, which means that no matter who wins here, it'll be a South Philly face-off. If Passyunk Square wins, however, it'll be an especially wacky match-up between two Passyunks—a P'unk-off, as one commenter noted.
Whatever the outcome, it's clear that plenty of Philadelphians adore the area that's roughly between South Street and Snyder, and Fifth Street and Broad.
