Redfin's list of best neighborhoods for holiday lights came out today, and South Philly—the 1600 block of South 13th Street, specifically—made it to the top five in the nation, which is no surprise to locals. The results were based on Redfin's agents, who cruise around in cars night and day, shlepping people to look at homes, and therefore have ample opportunity to check out lights. Redfin hasn't been in Philly for very long, so it may just be that our reputation precedes us with such triumph, they simply had to put us on the list.
For the greater Philadelphia area, the award-winners were Smedley Street between 16th and 17th and Moyamensing and Oregon; the 700 block of Fairfax Road in Drexel Hill; Brenden Circle and Terwood Road in Willow Grove; and 215 Stallion Lane in Schwenksville.
