Local journalist Patrick Kerkstra won a Special Recognition from the Center for Public Interest Journalism at Temple University. This is the Center's first Weiss Awards for investigative journalism, and Kerkstra was honored for his PlanPhilly/Inquirer series "Deluge of Deadbeats" about property tax delinquency in the city. He won $2,500, which he'll likely share with the baby in his hair. [CPIJ]
