Hop Sing Laundromat Opening Soon; Le Bec-Fin Closing; More

This week's top dish from Eater Philly, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...

CHINATOWN — The long-awaited Hop Sing Laundromat is inching closer to opening, and we attended a special Friends & "Stalkers" night at the bar, which has quickly risen to the top of the heap as the most beautiful space in town. Sadly, no pics allowed inside, but we tell a good story.

RESTAURANT ROWLe Bec-Fin is closing after dinner service on Saturday, March 3rd. Perrier has sold the place, and the new regime will be renovating everything and re-opening in July sometime. Truly the end of an era, as LBF stood the test of time for more than 40 years.

GRADUATE HOSPITAL — There's a new restaurant called SoWe opening where the old Divan Turkish Kitchen used to be, and the owners said they named it after the neighborhood. They're from somewhere else, obviously, because no one calls it SouthWest Center City. It's Graduate Hospital, or G-Ho. We set up a vote, and lo, we were right.

TV — Coffee/Philanthropist/Adventure Man Todd Carmichael of La Colombe scored himself a new reality show on The Travel Channel. Look for Coffee Hunter later this summer, where Todd will duck people shooting at him, and other fun stuff. Also, he's still alive, so he didn't get shot. Yet.
