The Philadelphia Invitational Furniture Show starts tomorrow, featuring everything from traditional 18th-century grandfather clocks to contemporary and even weird-looking wooden cabinetry. Some local craftspeople and designers are represented, including weaver Claudia Mills, whose leather rugs must be smelled to be appreciated. (Don't act like you think that's weird. We all like leather smell.) Tonight there's a preview party with David Rago and Suzanne Perrault from Antiques Roadshow. Don't pester them about your great aunt's rocking chair after too many cocktails, though. Instead, notice that you're in what appears to be a crazy medieval castle in Center City. Where: 23rd Street Armory, 22 S. 23rd St.
When: Fri., March 23, 6–9pm (preview party and auction); Sat., March 24, 11am-7pm; Sun., March 25, 11am–5pm
How much: $12 per day or $15 weekend pass. Preview party: $15. Tickets available at door.
