PORT RICHMOND — Todd Carmichael of La Colombe is planing on opening a decaffeination plant in Port Richmond. Carmichael has grand plans for Philly, as he hopes this new venture is just the first step to making us the biggest coffee port in the U.S. Big dreams.
TV LAND — Looks like Questlove and David Chang are headed to Jimmy Fallon to settle their Fried Chicken feud. Questo told us that April 12 was the date (Chang confirmed), but it seems that isn't finalized just yet. Either way, stay tuned to Late Night for the final word on the chicken fight.
THE INTERNET — A shady firm showed up that is offering Philly chefs positive Yelp reviews for the low, low price of $495. While the great Yelp machine can filter out obviously fake reviews, can they eliminate real people who's opinions can be bought? We'll see how this one shakes out.
QUEEN VILLAGE — Divan Turkish Kitchen is coming to the former Shouk on 6th Street. Haters found time to scribble some nasty things on their "Coming Soon" sign taped to their window. Of course.
