Gamers Hope Philly Gets Its Due in Colonial-Era Video ACIII

In case you don't have a man cave, we'll fill you in: Assassin's Creed is a Ubisoft video game series that takes place in expertly wrought historical locations, like Renaissance-era Florence. Today the trailer for Assasin's Creed III was released, and the new game is set during the Revolutionary War. The company promises it'll bring "Colonial America to life." Redditors are hoping Philadelphia will play a big part:

bizzwho: "Philly HAS to be one of the main cities in the game. The US was basically born out of this city! It's gonna be fucking awesome running through the streets of colonial Philadelphia." koniges: "I'm having a local history-gasm right now."

So far we know that Valley Forge will be included, and that Ben Franklin will play a role. But while Boston and New York have been mentioned specifically in leaked articles, there's been nary a word about Philly. We'll keep hope alive till the game is released in October.
