Granted, our beat here isn't journalism per se (or any se), but we simply must acknowledge the very wonderful fact that the Philadelphia Inquirer won a Pulitzer Prize this year for public service journalism—in this case for the paper's seven-part series on violence in the schools. Congratulations to the team that made the series happen: Rose Ciotta, John Sullivan, Susan Snyder, Dylan Purcell, Jeff Gammage David Swanson, Ron Tarver, Michael Mercanti, Avery Rome, Thom Guarnieri, Sterling Chen Michael Placentra, Sharon Gekoski-Kimmel, Mike Leary, Stan Wischnowski and Kristen A. Graham. [pulitzer.org]
