We want to remind everyone—now that the Farrelly Bros.' Oscar-baiting (ahem) Three Stooges movie is out—that Larry Fine was a Philly boy from Third and South. His former home is now Jon's Cafe, which sports a big-haired mural of the gent on its wall. When the mural was unveiled, Jon's held a party, and Fine's elderly daughter attended. She was very pleased that her father was being remembered in his hometown. After he was famous, Fine and family lived in The President Hotel in Atlantic City, which was once quite swank and is now quite gone. Just like Larry himself. Sniff. [Stooge World]
