Cornerspotter is a Curbed Philly feature in which we show you a historical photo of the city and you tell us where the photo was taken. The prize? Your name and quirky biographical info here as well as a historic Philadelphia postcard snail-mailed to your home. Have suggestions for next week's Cornerspotter? Send them to philly@curbed.com
Last week, since were busy with Rookie Roosts, we put Cornerspotter on hold, and it almost broke our hearts. So let's get going again with our big hint, upon which we'll elaborate: Talk to people in their 40s, say, who grew up near this intersection, and they just can't get over the fact that people would move in, voluntarily, and even pay good money for the houses in the neighborhood.
So where was this photo taken?
