Like John Lennon's "Imagine," Only in Frankford

This extremely cool neighborhood project is a collection of interviews with Frankford residents in preparation for a series of murals by set to go up in the fall. Muralist Cesar Viveros Herrera asked people what the neighborhood was like, what it means to them, how they remember it from their childhood, and what the murals should depict. There will be more videos posted soon, but apparently the neighbors are quite chatty, so the editing is taking a while. This is part of the community engagement that Mural Arts typically does around the creation of each mural to make sure it's a project that's true to the neighborhood. It's obvious, if you think about it. Where else could a mural of Frank Rizzo be embraced if not the Italian Market?
