Sign of the Apocalypse?: First Cornerspotter Blowout

Cornerspotter is a Curbed Philly feature in which we show you a historical image of the city and you identify it. Send guesses to our tipline: The prize? Your name and quirky biographical info here as well as a historic Philadelphia postcard snail-mailed to your home.

This blurry photo from the late 19th century confounded all Curbed readers, so we're just going to tell you where it was taken: Frankford and Adams avenues. It's true, it's fairly impossible to see it that way now, so perhaps it's not a harbinger of doom that no one got the answer.
