Philly mag staffer Steve Volk got his hands on a rendering of what Bart Blatstein imagines for North Broad, and the casino is the least of it. The drawings show what Blatstein is even more excited about: his proposed old world European rooftop village. Volk spoke to Blatstein about the village project, which sounds like something Terry Gilliam would dream up if he was an urban developer. “It will be spec-tac-u-lar,” Blatstein told Volk. “I want to create something here, separate from the casino, where people will feel transported to a whole other place.” [Philly Post]
