Goldtex Building Battle

New, 2 comments

Another story today about the battle between the Pestronk brothers, aka the Post Brothers, who are developing the Goldtex site, and the building trades union. A union spokesperson continues to insist the Pestronks are exaggerating the extent of the union protests. But there's clearly more to the fight than he-said/she-said. Pat Gillespie, business manager for the Philadelphia Building and Trades Council, told the Daily News: “They [the Pestronks] have a very high opinion of themselves. They were born on third base and think they hit a triple." We recently communicated with a high-level employee at the building site who claims he fears for his life because of what's going on. We'll have more on his story later this week. [DN]
