Northeast Bar for Sale, Regulars Included

Martin's Mill Pub in Lawncrest has been on the market for almost a year now, but the time may finally be right for a sale. The city project PhillyRising has been working on a Lawncrest plan to reduce crime and improve quality of life in the area, and while the bar—which is in Lawndale—isn't squarely in PhillyRising's program boundaries, it is likely to see fringe benefits if the area around it improves.

The bar has been around for more than 30 years, and from the photos, so have some of the regulars. We're guessing that, unless you're really incompetent—unlikely, since the buyer will get training in running the business from the current owner—they'll be with you for the next 30 too.

As for the Lawncrest plan, the last day to submit comment will be June 21 at 6 p.m. at the Lawncrest Library, 6098 Rising Sun Ave. Comments on the draft plan can be sent to Manny Citron.
