Metcalfe Architecture & Design in the Top 10

A Philadelphia architecture firm's project has been included as one of "Ten Top Images on Archinect's 'Outdoors' Pinterest Board." The image is of "Tree Adventure" at the Morris Arboretum, an exhibit designed by Metcalfe Architecture & Design to spread the gospel of tree stewardship and urban forestry. It reminds us of both Martin Puryear's "Pavillion in the Trees" in West Fairmount Park and "Embodying Thoreau," which we featured on our public art map. These structures all allow people to interact with tree-dwelling on terms we can understand—within enclosures or sitting on our butts. [Archinect]
