Cornerspotter is a Curbed Philly feature in which we show you a historical image of the city and you identify it. Sure, you could cheat, but wouldn't that ruin the fun? Hmm?
This photo (click to enlarge it) was taken in 1879 or thereabouts in a neighborhood whose built environment has changed radically—parking lots, garages, more parking lots—but remained fairly consistent in one key way. Surely you'll tell us all about it when you answer—either in the comments or by pinging our tipline: philly@curbed.com.
