This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things

There's a petition up at change.org in favor of trash cans and bathrooms on SEPTA's regional rail cars. Given that SEPTA recently rolled out new trains, it's unlikely the changes will happen soon, and that's okay with some travelers who regularly use New Jersey Transit. One rider writes, "my experience with toilets on njt is pretty bad...so bad I'd rather hold it until we got to a station." Another compares the NJT bathroom odor to "concentrated badger piss"—but is signing the petition anyway. The changes would take place when the next new trains are ordered. [Philadelphia Speaks]
