SOLD: Home in the Catchment That Seemed to Have a Catch

New, 2 comments

We wrote about this lovely five-bedroom house a few months ago as a sort of case study of real estate sales in the Penn Alexander catchment. It sold a few weeks ago for $557,000, down just a wee bit from its asking price of $595,000. Though we suggested it might be risky to assume one's child would get into Penn Alexander School, a realtor we spoke with at the time said our claim was overblown and the house would sell for close to its asking price. He was correct. It also doesn't hurt that the house is beautiful, is 2,880 square feet, and has five and a half bathrooms—enough for even the most aggravating teenage brood.
