Last week we posted a Cool Map Thing by Floating Sheep that evaluated tweets nationwide to see if more came from churches or from bars. The map, "Relative Number of Tweets containing the terms 'church' or 'beer' aggregated to the county level, June 22-28, 2012," was color-coded, and after a cursory examination, we thought we saw that Philadelphia was more beer-oriented than church-oriented. Not so. In fact, the city fell squarely in the "much more church" category, as a helpful commenter pointed out.
We apologize for thinking Philadelphians tweeted more from bars than churches. But it does beg the question: Are the local clergy really so boring that everyone is tweeting during services? Well, at least they're not drinking beer.
