You might recall the extravagance of these pillows, which we could only account for when this seventh-floor apartment was first listed by considering that their owner, the late Marvin Lundy, was a personal injury lawyer and thus attentive to soft landings. His 3,200-square-foot condo sold for its full asking price of $1.7 million this week, but was put under contract shortly after it was listed. Same thing happened with another 3,200-square-foot apartment in that building—unit 1702, which (unlike Lundy's) needed a gut job. It was listed around the same time for $1.6 million, went under contract shortly thereafter and closed for $1.5 million.
