This week we'll be featuring the interiors of the homes that were featured on this weekend's Philadelphia Modern Home Tours. It was the first time Philly was a featured Modern Home Tours city, and Curbed staff photographer Laura Kicey zoomed from North Philly to Chadds Ford to Mt. Airy to get pictures.

This Allen's Lane 4-bedroom stone colonial was built in the 1920s, though the exterior looks much older. Metcalfe Architecture & Design (MA&D), one of city's pioneering firms in modern architecture, transformed the 3,622 square feet last year. Without changing an exterior that fits in with other homes in the neighborhood, MA&D reinvented the interior layout, knocking down walls to create open space. Collaborators on the home's renovation included Val Nehez Interior Design, McCoubrey Overholser General Contractors and James Van Etten Furniture by Design. MA&D designed the entrance chandelier, and had it built by artist Nikolaj Christensen.
