Speaking of Modern: Maniacally Mid-Century in Wash West

New, 10 comments

We've been highlighting the Philadelphia Modern Homes Tour this week, and we've got Modern on the brain. So, it appears, does this homeowner, who has his 2-bedroom home—now on the market—truly decked out. He's got at least one Eames chair in the bedroom; a Saarinen womb chair in the living room next to a Saarinen table; a George Nelson ball clock; a couple Marcel Breuer Wassily chairs in the office; a Noguchi Prismatic table, seems like; and—could it be?—dear god, it is: a Noguchi coffee table. Also interesting to note: the Philippe Starck Ghost Chair and the Marais A Chairs in the kitchen—which are also the chairs over on Amber Street.

Now, this fellow could be a collector and enthusiast, true. In which case, well done, sir. Other possibility? His broker hired a stager who clicked onto DesignWithinReach.com (dwr.com, actually) and just bought one of everything.
