Home Ideally Suited to Roman Decadence Still on the Market

New, 2 comments

This Warminster property—7 beds, 6.5 baths, 11,000 square feet—is the perfect setting for excess. Look at the indoor pool with its classical columns. Can't you just imagine some bacchanalia there? In the master suite, there are sinks made of onyx, a rain shower, and heated marble benches so your Caligula party butt never gets cold. Downstairs, there's a temperature-controlled wine cellar that'll store 2,000 bottles. There is a home theater that actually looks like a movie theater, and there are game rooms—plural. Outside, on the grounds, you'll find five acres with waterfalls, perennial gardens and a lighted tennis court. The garage has room for eight cars, whether belonging to your Eyes Wide Shut guest list or your personal collection.

Yet this spectacular property has been on the market for more than three years. Why? Location? Drop ceilings? Whatever the reason, we are puzzled that the asking price hasn't changed: It was $2.9 million in 2009 and it's 2.9 million today. Maybe lowering the ask would help. If not, it'd be the perfect home for a reality TV show. How does The Bacherlorette: Bucks County sound?
