Muhammad Ali's Former Home for Sale in Cherry Hill

New, 3 comments

Between 1971 to 1974, Muhammad Ali owned a home in Cherry Hill, NJ—the town where everyone floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee. It was a heady time for Cherry Hill, which was close enough to Atlantic City and Rat Pack glory to make it chic. Now Ali's old home is for sale, and its current owner, McDonald's franchiser Tony Micale, hopes Ali's history with the house will be a selling point when it goes up for auction on Sept. 8.
Micale has, though, made changes since the Champ lived there. He told CBS 3 he added tennis courts, "a glass-enclosed hot tub room, and a catering kitchen." Ali visited once, Micale said: "He was just blown away by what I had done to the house." That includes turning it into what Micale now calls a "Tuscan Villa."
