This gentleman was walking on the platform at the Berks El station, chatting on the phone, and simply walked right off onto the tracks. It was caught on SEPTA surveillance video and disseminated by SEPTA to the Associated Press to humiliate Philadelphians and spur Gawker to do another post about what morons we are and disparage us in hurtful ways. Wait, we're being told that's not the reason SEPTA released the video. It was to promote safety awareness around distracted walking. It may, though, come to the same thing.
