A memorial service for Steven C. Gatschet has been scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 25. The well-known architect, a former president of the Philadelphia chapter of the American Institute of Architects, was active in city life, serving on the boards of the Foundation for Architecture, the Redevelopment Authority and the Washington Square Development District. He was also on the zoning committee of the Center City Residents Association. He taught architecture for more than three decades, and worked for the School District, Venturi and Brown, GBQC, and MPB. His memorial service will be held at Trinity Memorial Church at 22nd and Spruce at 11 a.m.
