It's a natural career progression: from Niagara Falls to Atlantic City. Today, at 3 p.m., the famed tightrope walker Nik Wallenda will climb 100 feet above the beach to honor his great-grandfather Karl, who walked the tightrope at Veteran's Stadium 1972 at the Vet. As Veteran's Stadium is no more, Nik chose the next best thing—and it helps that his family has a show this week at the Tropicana. Though this walk is easier than the Falls, it's no walk on the beach (ahem): it'll be without the tether he wore for the Falls walk, so this venture is actually less safe. If you're at the Atlantic Club and Boardwalk at Boston Ave. at 3, you'll see him starting out. He'll end up at the Trop—just in time for soundcheck.
