This House Is So Amazing, It's Invisible

Generally speaking, here's how to understand "amazing" when you see it in a real estate listing:

"This 2-bedroom condo has high ceilings and amazing hardwood floors." Translation:

"This 2-bedroom condo has high ceilings and hardwood floors." It tends to be a modifier for something that would otherwise be banal. Sometimes, however, it precedes a feature of a home that might provoke actual interest. That can result in frustration.

Translation: "The view is amazing if you're on the roof. Don't expect much from these windows."

Translation: "The custom closets are so 'customized' by the current owner, we couldn't photograph them without frightening you."
