One of these two listings just says it straight out: The property is a "grandmom" house. The decor, the cabinets—so much is hopelessly out of date. But such sins can be forgiven (and ripped out) if you like the location. And you should: Houses in this area, particularly in East Passyunk proper, look like a pretty safe bet these days. Plus, there's the cannoli at Termini, the coffee at Black & Brew, access to public transportation, schools, a library, bars...in fact, House No. 2 has what we'd venture to say is one of the most remarkable home bars in Philadelphia. And that's considering a lot of bars.
