Flattering Listage of the Not-Super-Near Variety

Richard Florida has posted the results of a wage and salary analysis that identifies the U.S. metro areas that saw the biggest wage hikes between 2010 and 2011. As most Philadelphians may have suspected, our fair city did not make the top 10. But Williamsport, Pa., comes in at No. 6—besting hundreds of other metros. The wage increase was $2,120, taking the average salary from $35,940 to $38,060. We know a lot of people who've moved to Philly from Williamsport. Future Little Leaguers may want to reconsider.
