Tina Fey is plotzing right now. Surely the Upper Darby native has heard that Silver Linings Playbook, the movie starring Bradley Cooper, has been nominated for a slew of Oscars. And surely she knows that one of the key scenes in the movie takes place at the Llanerch Diner on East Township Line Road in Upper Darby. As for Cooper, he grew up in Jenkintown. And the movie was filmed in Ridley Park. It's a Philly(area)palooza! We're very excited for all of them.
Despite Robert De Niro's Philly-accent dialect coaching with Bradley Cooper's family, no accents were harmed in the making of that movie. Not one person said "wooder" or anything close to it. Even the angry Eagles fans sounded like they were on The Actors Studio. Very disappointing.
