A Chestnut Hill Retreat for New Eagles Coach Chip Kelly

New, 4 comments

Chip Kelly, the new coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, was formerly the head coach at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Ore. He grew up in Manchester, New Hampshire, and lived briefly in New York and Baltimore. But he has a deep attachment to friend and family back home in New Hampshire, and seems to have enjoyed Eugene quite a bit. So Philadelphia is likely to be a bit of a shock. As a foil to his experience with brash urban grit and Philly sports fans, we suggest Kelly get a house where he can relax in peace and quiet, with a degree of privacy but with kindly neighbors who will come to his rescue if needed. This Chestnut Hill three-bedroom fits the bill. It's a single-level "California-style" house, which will be familiar to Kelly. It's on a cul-de-sac for privacy. The rooms' large windows and sliding doors will make him feel like he's surrounded by trees and nature, but it's also right near the Wissahickon Park, so he can mull plays while he jogs, and then stop for a hot toddy at Valley Green Inn.
