Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a dive into the options available for a certain price point in various neighborhoods. Is one person's studio another persons's townhouse? Let's find out! Today's price: $1000/month, or less.
? Here's a Callowhill one bedroomwith exposed brick, and big windows that offer a great view of the Philly skyline. There's also a dishwasher and a garbage disposal, and laundry in the apartment. Rent is $875/month.
? Here's a whole house in Pennsport for less than $1000 in rent. The flooring is laminate, and it's located pretty far south, but it's newly renovated, has three bedrooms, and has its very own parking spot and yard. Rent is $850/month.
? This studio in Center City is indeed incredibly small, but it is affordable. All utilities are included, with the exception of internet in the apartment (but it's free in the lobby.) Perhaps it's not the best place for an avid home cook, but with utilities included, it's incredibly cheap at $820/month.
? For apartment seekers in West Philly, there's this offering at 49th and Springfield. It looks like it's set up for a student (because it probably is), but the kitchen and living area are separate from the bedroom, and it comes with all the basic amenities a person needs. For a rent of $725/month, that's not bad.
