Immaculate Art Museum Victorian Just Listed for $829K

New, 2 comments

This house could serve as the backdrop for any period drama, but it could also be your home (and if you conduct your life like a period drama, so much the better.) It's a sprawling 4 bedroom Victorian, adorned appropriately with precious wallpaper which can be described as overprecious, or perhaps as just precious enough.

There's even a library, complete with built-ins and a functional marble fireplace. It has fewer frills than the other two fireplaces in the house, which both come with carved wooden mantelpieces.

There's also an updated kitchen which will not force you to cook as though you're in a period drama. The bathrooms look like they might be in need of updates, but the house is otherwise free of creaky mustiness that often comes with gracious Victorians. The price does reflect the updatedness of the place, though, and while it was last sold for $202K (in 1992), it's now just as expensive as any new construction home in the Art Museum area.

House Vitals:
Size: 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2,340 sq ft.
Amenities: Stained glass, ribbonwood floors, carved mantlepieces, a library with built-ins, crown moldings, cedar closets, leaded windows, landscaped deck, stained glass, exposed brick, and many more Victorian details.
Asking Price: $829,000
