One of the applicants for that second Philadelphia casino license, real estate supergroup Market East Associates (Ken Goldenberg et al), has announced a new name (MARKET8) and new partnership for what they're calling an "urban entertainment center" at Eighth and Market. The operations partner is the Mohegan Gaming Advisors, which runs Resorts in Atlantic City. Mohegan Gaming Advisors' parent group operates Mohegan Sun in Connecticut and Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs in Pennsylvania, which was designed by another Market East Associates member, JCJ Architecture.
