No Bones About It

An archaeological dig at the site of the Queen Lane Apartments in Germantown revealed the remains of basements and walls, but there was nary a human bone in sight. Though the site was at one time a Potter's Field, (a burial ground for African-Americans, the poor and "strangers"), the dig did not uncover any graves. The Philadelphia Housing Authority's plan to demolish the vacant Queen Lane highrise in order to build a new 55 unit structure can continue apace. [Newsworks]
