Tiny WPA, a project created by architect, designer and University of the Arts professor Alex Gilliam, is creating new playgrounds throughout the city by involving local kids in the design process. Gilliam's design consultancy, public workshop, "creates uniquely engaging opportunities for youth and their communities to shape the design of their cities." Tiny WPA is expected to create a new playground in Fairmount Park toward the end of the spring. [Keystone Edge & public workshop]
