Public Art

El Gran Teatro de la Luna, a public art installation by Rafael Ferrer, has been reinstated to Fairhill Park atop an open trellis. The statue was intended as "a place offering itself as a site for the public to use however they want," according to the artist. Unfortunately, the public elected to use the structure beneath the piece as a blind for drug deals, and was consequently taken down in 1999. [NewsWorks]
