Hubristic Townhome Calls Self Castle, Asks $725K

New, 7 comments

This two bedroom townhome in Queen Village has the audacity to call itself a castle: is it really? At 2,200 sq ft it's far larger than most two bedrooms, and there is a Juliet balcony. A few high ceilings strengthen the case. But can a two bedroom townhome claim the castle title?

Broker babble, which describes this place as "the coolest, most fascinating home in Philly" might be a little overblown, but there are a ton of unique features: exposed brick and beams and a roof deck, a foyer with super high ceilings, a shower big enough for at least eighteen people, and cathedral ceilings in the master bedroom.

Sure, the asking price is a lot for a two bedroom, but this place is huge and creatively designed. The owners also have architectural plans to expand the place and include another bedroom.
House Vitals:
Size: 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, 2,200 sq ft
Amenities: A bi-level deck and a Juliet balcony, a shower big enough to serve as a third bedroom, exposed brick and beams, high ceilings, an impression-making foyer, and plans to expand.
Asking price: $775,000
