Here's What You Get For $1900 of Rent Around Philadelphia

Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a dive into the options available for a certain price point in various neighborhoods. Is one person's studio another persons's townhouse? Let's find out! Today's price: $1900/month.

? Here's a 3 bedroom house in Manayunk which looks like it was built a while ago, and like it retained some quirks. Said quirks (like the tiny spiral staircase and odd loft space overhead) might be charming or annoying, but at least the back patio is lush and well maintained. Rent is $1800/month.

?This Fishtown house is very close to Port Richmond, and not quite as close to Northern Liberties as the listing would have you believe (it is however, very convenient to the bevy of classy-casual chain restaurants on Aramingo avenue.) On the other hand, it is huge (1,900 sq ft), contains a zillion (okay, three, but still) bathrooms, and it even has a loft bedroom. Rent is $1900/month.

? As usual, the same dollar amount that'll rent a palatial house in Fishtown only rents a small two bedroom in Rittenhouse Square, but this one is full of your standard issue Rittenhouse charm. If ribbonwood floors and crown moldings are your thing, this is the place for you. Rent is $1875/month, and the building is pet friendly.

? This last house is located right at the edge of Northern Liberties, perhaps too close to Girard for those who are looking to be in Northern Liberties proper. That said, the patio is very cute, there's a decorative fireplace in the living room, and the listing says that there's Wisteria outside. On the other hand, the listing also forbids pets, smokers, and more than three adult occupants (even though it's a five bedroom.) Rent is $1875/month.
