Fitler Square Townhome Invites Outside In, Asks $2.375M

Here's a standard Fitler Square offering with an unexpected twist. Houses on the middle of the high end of the Philadelphia real estate market often follow a pretty standard format: three or more bedrooms in a stately row, some outdoor space, a deck and a well appointed kitchen, all outfitted with nice but somewhat boring decor. This house is your standard Fitler Square stately special, but the top floor includes an incongruous interior decor element.

Perhaps the designer wasn't content with the window size and wanted a more panoramic view. This house's best asset is its location and the vista it offers, but even so, the mural, complete with tiny painted pedestrians is a little odd. The mural shouldn't be a serious con, even for those who find it unappealing, as it's easy enough to cover with a few coats of paint. It is very unique, but perhaps a little redundant.

The house does come with the typical Fitler Square amenities: a patio and a deck and a potting shed; a wet bar and a fully outfitted kitchen, lots of space, and stately but staid decor. The interior is up to area standards, but the location is clearly the biggest selling point for this home,
