The Lawn At Dilworth Park Opened with a Grass Ribbon Cutting

New, 2 comments

Talk about going green — the Albert M.Greenfield Lawn at Dilworth Park officially opened today with a slightly different, yet appropriate, grass ribbon cutting. The cutting (clipping?) marked the introduction for the 6,900 square foot lawn space on the SW edge of City Hall and, you know, actually made it Dilworth Park, which Hidden City lauds as a 'monumental shift' in Philly's urban planning philosophy and design. Center City District also opened the southern headhouse transit entrace, more walkways and a grove of trees. Albert M. Greenfield III (grandson to the lawn's namesake) was in attendance to open Philly's latest green space.
