The New Comcast Tower Site is Currently a Hole in the Ground

Construction on the Foster + Partners-designed Comcast Innovation and Technology Center is well underway and the foundation for Philly's soon-to-be-tallest building is looking pretty good — insomuch that it's a giant hole meant to support a 1,121 foot tall building. Last time we checked in with this skyline-changing project, Gensler was chosen to design the CITC's modern, tech-chic interior. With an anticipated completion of December 2017, it won't be too long until we start to see the beginnings of what will eventually amount to the tallest building outside of New York and Chicago rise from that very foundation. Need something to do in the meantime? We suggest watching this Vine of Sir Norman Foster once a day through 2017; it's worked for us so far.
