Future of Southport

No less than 16 companies have expressed interest in Southport, the far eastern edge of the rapidly developing Navy Yard. The parcel includes 194 acres south of the Walt Whitman Bridge as well as Pier 124. The Inquirer reports that potential suitors include "include energy companies, marine terminal operators, auto processors, and multipurpose terminal operators."
